Derby’s £100 million Castleward development has marked its first anniversary this month.
House builder, Compendium Living celebrated the anniversary on 19th July, a year since they opened the doors to their new show homes at the development.
Since the launch in 2014, Compendium has sold a total of 34 properties to date and has already seen a number of people move into the high specification homes, proving it’s a popular place to call home.
Work on phase one is already underway, which features 164 new homes, including two, three and four-bedroom homes and two-bedroom apartments and approximately 16,500sqft of commercial space.
The development will also be marking an important milestone this month when Compendium unveils the first public space at Castleward, to local business representatives. A new tree-lined boulevard, which will link the railway station to the city centre, was also greatly improved when trees were installed earlier this Spring.
In total, Castleward will see 30 acres of land between Derby Midland Station and the city centre developed into an attractive gateway into the heart of Derby and will feature 800 new homes and 34,550sqft of commercial space.
Dave Bullock, Managing Director at Compendium Living comments: “We’ve had a fantastic year here and we are delighted with the response we have had so far from local people to our collection of high quality homes.
“We are excited at the prospect of unveiling our new open space later this month and watching as the new community gradually comes together.”
A selected number of two, three and four-bedroom homes are now available to buy at Castleward. For more information visit the show home and marketing suite, open every day from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, call 01332 426156 or go to www.castleward.co.uk.
